For future changes, DolphinRadar and RecentSpy describe saving a baseline and comparing later observations. For periodic collected activity, Snoopreport offers reports and a separate paid retrospective option for earlier weeks. RecentFollow and FollowSpy advertise recent-order results, but the reviewed pages do not establish a fully documented historical event log.

START WITH YOUR TASK
Find the right next step.
Start a timeline today
Choose a baseline tracker and understand that observation starts at the first saved list.
Look back before signup
Check the exact retrospective weeks, per-account fee, and report contents before purchase.
Need a recent ordered list
Ask the provider how it determines order and what dates its result covers.
Four meanings of Instagram history
“History” can mean a saved copy of a list, a difference between two snapshots, a report of actions collected during a week, or data from before tracking began. These are not interchangeable. A snapshot tracker normally needs an initial observation; it can show what changed afterward, but the first capture alone cannot reveal earlier events. A recent-order claim is yet another thing: it needs a documented method and should not be treated as a precise timestamp by default.
This shortlist uses official public descriptions for products in the researched TooliGuide directory. We have not purchased retrospective reports or independently tested how much activity each service captures. The recommendations therefore reflect disclosed time coverage, not completeness scores.
Best for history you start recording now
DolphinRadar’s Recent Follow Tracker describes a baseline model: it saves the current public Following list and reports later detected changes. It is useful for monitoring from now, but does not reconstruct earlier follows. The vendor distinguishes when a profile was first detected from the exact moment the follow happened.
RecentSpy describes a similar first-snapshot and later-comparison workflow, with a free daily search and Pro features for fuller history and comparisons. Its current Pro price and precise retention window were not confirmed on the public pages reviewed. Ask how long snapshots are retained and whether old data remains available after cancellation before relying on it as an archive.
For unfollower monitoring, DolphinRadar separates a one-time FightBack report from Guardian’s recurring plan. The one-time report is a point-in-time relationship output; ongoing records require the recurring product.
Best for reports about earlier activity
Snoopreport advertises weekly and monthly reports of public activity, including likes and follows. Its official guide also describes a separate retrospective report for activity from earlier weeks, priced per account per week. That add-on is the clearest reviewed offer for paid earlier history, but it is still bounded historical reporting: buying one retrospective report does not create a permanent lifetime archive or pay for future monitoring. The core activity plans are recurring monthly subscriptions and have different account caps and Standard versus AI Summary tiers.
Inflact’s current pricing describes profile tracking and analytics inside Research/Pro bundles and selected-tool options, but the reviewed public pages do not establish a date range for historical records. Treat “tracking” as ongoing monitoring unless the product page or checkout explicitly states how much earlier history is included. Its trial and price displays vary across pages, so confirm the exact offer before paying.
RecentFollow and FollowSpy market recent-follow ordering or recent connections. Their reviewed public pages do not explain enough about the data source, retention window, and exact event timing to recommend them as complete historical archives. They may still fit a quick lookup, but that is a narrower use.
Pay for the time coverage you need
A free lookup, a paid recurring monitor, a one-time report, and a retroactive report each buy a different thing. Before checkout, write down the earliest date you need, the newest date, the target account count, and whether you need future updates. Then match those requirements against the plan’s exact scope.
No lifetime history archive was verified in the researched products. DolphinRadar FightBack is a one-off unfollower report; Snoopreport’s retrospective report is a one-off by account/week; neither is a permanent all-feature license. Snoopreport and tracking plans renew on a schedule. App availability is also separate from time coverage: FollowSpy and Snoopreport have verified iOS apps, while mobile browser support on other services is not evidence of native apps.
- Ask for the earliest available date and whether the product stores raw observations or summaries.
- Check whether the displayed monthly equivalent bills monthly or annually in one charge.
- Do not equate “first detected,” “newest first,” and “exact event timestamp.”
Which history tool should you choose?
For future list changes, start a baseline with DolphinRadar or RecentSpy and keep dated records if the timeline matters. For recurring summaries, compare Snoopreport’s account limits and report cadence. If you need activity from before signup, verify its retrospective scope and per-week price. Use a recent list as a lookup rather than an archive unless the vendor documents the historical method and dates.
COMMON QUESTIONS
A few things worth clarifying.
Can a tracker show history from before I signed up?
A baseline tracker cannot infer earlier list changes from its first snapshot. A separate retrospective service may sell earlier reports, but check the stated date range and price.
Does Snoopreport sell lifetime history?
The reviewed official source describes retrospective reports priced by account and week, not a permanent lifetime archive. Standard reports use recurring plans.
Is first detected the same as the exact follow date?
No. A detection time is when a service observed an account, which may be later than the actual follow event.
Which tools have a native app?
FollowSpy and Snoopreport have verified iOS app listings in the reviewed sources. No Android app is claimed here.
