THE SHORT ANSWER

For an immediate recent-follow lookup, RecentFollow and FollowSpy advertise sorted results, though their reviewed pages do not document a verifiable historical method. For changes after a starting snapshot, DolphinRadar or RecentSpy describe baseline comparisons. Snoopreport is the report-based option for periodic public activity summaries.

Find the right next step.

01

Immediate ordered lookup

Compare the vendor’s recency claim and checkout terms before using it as a historical record.

02

Changes after a starting date

Save a baseline and understand that earlier follows are outside a snapshot tracker’s observation window.

03

Periodic activity reports

Review the reporting cadence, actions covered, and per-account allowance.

How this shortlist was selected

This is an editorial, source-based shortlist of following tools in the TooliGuide directory, not a lab test or a claim that these are every product on the market. We compared the official product descriptions for what is observed, when observation begins, whether a phone app is confirmed, and whether the public price identifies a recurring term. We have not paid for plans or measured completeness against controlled Instagram accounts.

Following means accounts a profile follows. It is the opposite direction from followers, which are the accounts following that profile. A “recent” list is also different from a historical event log: a provider must explain how it knows the order and how far back its data reaches.

Best fit by the kind of result you need

RecentFollow is the direct pick to evaluate when you want a quick list. Its official plan page advertises free recent-follower and recent-following lookup, plus a paid Expert plan with all follows, all followers, unlimited searches, and unlimited accounts. The page describes sorting from newest to oldest but does not explain a method that establishes exact follow timestamps. The paid page’s displayed weekly and quarterly promotion language should be checked at checkout; the static price alone does not make the final billing total clear.

FollowSpy also markets recent connections and includes follower/following features in its paid plans. Its plan page shows a Starter tier for up to two tracked accounts and Premium for unlimited accounts; both include Story viewing, with Premium adding broader access. FollowSpy has a verified iOS listing, but the public website offer and App Store in-app purchases use different prices and billing choices. Do not assume web and app entitlements are identical.

DolphinRadar and RecentSpy are better described as “start now, compare later” tools. DolphinRadar says its free Recent Follow Tracker saves a current Following baseline and then detects changes; it cannot reveal earlier follows from before that first capture. RecentSpy likewise describes saved snapshots and later comparisons, with one free search per day and a Pro offer whose current price was not confirmed in the reviewed public pages. Snoopreport instead provides weekly or monthly reports; its Follow-related output is one component of broader activity reporting, not a chronological live feed.

Price, apps, and limits worth checking

Among these five, FollowSpy and Snoopreport have verified official iOS apps. RecentFollow, DolphinRadar, and RecentSpy have no native app confirmed in the sources reviewed; no verified Android app is claimed for any product in this comparison. Browser access on a phone does not itself mean a native app exists.

Free lookup, a continuing tracker, and a subscription that includes other modules are separate offers. RecentFollow advertises a free lookup; DolphinRadar advertises free baseline-based Recent Follow access; RecentSpy advertises a limited daily search. FollowSpy and Snoopreport have recurring plans. None of the reviewed following products is confirmed here as a lifetime, one-time following-tracker purchase. DolphinRadar’s one-time FightBack is an unfollower relationship report and should not be confused with an ongoing following tracker.

  • Ask whether the result represents an older list, a saved snapshot, or only activity detected after signup.
  • Compare account quotas, refresh/report cadence, and the full charge today—not just a weekly equivalent.
  • Treat unverified app availability and unclear billing as unknown, not as a product advantage.

Which one should you try?

Choose RecentFollow or FollowSpy only if an instant ordered lookup is the specific result you want and you are comfortable with the vendor’s stated method. Choose DolphinRadar or RecentSpy when you can establish a baseline now and review later changes. Choose Snoopreport if a scheduled activity summary is more useful than a simple following list. Before paying, confirm public-profile eligibility, data retention, how to cancel, and the exact feature in the selected plan. The tools covered by these sources focus on public data; this guide does not recommend any tool for bypassing private-account access controls.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A few things worth clarifying.

Can a following tracker prove the exact time an account was followed?

The reviewed vendor pages do not establish that all listed tools provide independently verifiable exact timestamps. A first-seen time or saved-snapshot difference is not automatically the action time.

Is a free lookup the same as ongoing monitoring?

No. A one-time lookup, later baseline comparison, and scheduled reports have different time coverage and may have different plan limits.

Which options have a confirmed app?

FollowSpy and Snoopreport have official iOS listings in the sources reviewed. This shortlist does not claim verified Android availability for them or a native app for the other products.

Is there a one-time lifetime following plan?

No lifetime following-tracker plan was confirmed in the reviewed official sources. DolphinRadar FightBack is a one-time unfollower report, a different module.
